Watch as Better Homes and Gardens shows you how to paint a room like a pro! Before you can start painting a wall, you need painting tools. Determine how much paint you’ll need by measuring the total width of the walls, multiply by wall height, then divide by the number of square feet the gallon of paint will cover. To prep for wall painting, wipe walls with a damp cloth, then apply painters tape. Start painting a room by outlining the walls and ceiling. Load the roller, then start painting the wall in an overlapping “W.” Fill in the “W” without lifting the roller. When you’ve finished painting a room, let the walls dry before removing the tape. Be sure to keep these wall painting tips in mind!
